My name is Heather and I am a lip product junkie. I have way more lipstick, lip gloss, stains, balms, etc. than I will ever need. And yet, there is always room for more! That is why picking just one favorite lip product was an impossible task for me. I did, however manage to narrow it down to four, which I consider to be pretty darn impressive.
Disappointing purchases, it has happened to us all, one way or another. If you are like me, you research everything to death before you buy it. Sometimes though, a bad egg manages to slip through. Whether it’s an impulse buy that just doesn’t pan out, or a product that doesn’t live up to expectations despite best efforts to research it thoroughly; from time to time, we are stuck with a product that we just don’t love. Here is a small handful of the products that I wanted to love, but just couldn’t. I had a hard time coming up with products because if I hate something, I either give it away or get rid of it. However, these are the few that I can remember.
The happiest of Tuesdays to you, my dear reader! I hope the day is going well for you. It’s time for Day 4 of the June Beauty Blog Challenge! Wee!!
What’s in my shower/purse/travel bag/suitcase/nightstand/safe/bank account blog posts and videos always cause me to giggle a fair bit. I mean, I love them, but it’s kind of weird that we are so obsessed with what other people keep in their showers. It’s a shower! However, I’ll give in to the strangeness because, I’ll admit, I love it!
It’s day three of June Beauty Blog Challenge and I am going strong! If I make it through this whole month without missing a day, I will totally owe myself a cupcake! The theme of the day is favorite hair product which is a tough one for me. Over the years I have gone through so many different hair product, some fantastic, others…not so much. Recently though, I have mostly found products that really work for my semi-curly/semi-wavy, frizz-prone, dry, damaged, fine-ish hair. I guess I have a pretty specific hair type. Yikes. Happy 2nd day of the June Beauty Blog Challenge! Today’s topic is favorite brush and, although it took some thought, I think I have come up with my definition of the perfect brush.
While perusing my (excessive…I have a slight problem, ok?) brush collection, I realized that picking just one brush as my favorite was going to be very difficult. I mean, I have a handful of brushes that I use everyday, and how could I choose just one? Finally, my eyes landed on this one and I knew it was the answer! The brush in question is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
Happy June everyone! I can’t believe that May is over…yikes! I don’t know about you, but a lot happened during the month of May, and now I am ready to head into the hazy, crazy, lazy days of summer with June. To kick off this month, I have decided to participate in the June Beauty Blog Challenge, otherwise known as #JuneBBC. This is an idea started by Girl Friday over on her blog where there is a topic everyday that acts as a prompt for a post. If you would like to know more about this challenge, or to view the list of daily topics, you can check out the original post here. Today’s topic is: Favourite eyeliner.
Boom. There they are folks. I thought it best to provide my favorite liquid and pencil eyeliners so as to cover all of my bases. First up to bat is the Milani Liquif’eye Metallic Eye Pencil. Originally, I was going to choose the Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil, but after some careful thought, I realized that this pencil is just as amazing at a fraction of the price! This eyeliner is a dream. It is so smooth, so creamy, and so incredibly pigmented. It smudges well if you work quickly, but after about 30 seconds, this eyeliner will set and then it will not budge. Such an awesome product. You can find Milani products in-store at Ulta and some drugstores, or online at Milancosmetics.com. Next up, is my Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion. Oh lord. This eyeliner is amazing, I cannot say enough good things about it. Is it waterproof? Check. Is it pigmented? Double-check. Is it long lasting? Double-triple-quadruple check! Seriously, I am sitting here, with the swatches still on my hand, and no matter how much I rub, scratch, or claw, that bad boy is going nowhere. Oh, and speaking of swatches, here they are:
On the left, is the Milani pencil eyeliner in Black and on the right is the Urban Decay liquid liner in Perversion. These swatches are just one quick coat of each, and as you can see, they are both the blackest of black.
Well, that is all for my first day of #JuneBBC. What do you think? If you would like to join me in doing this, I would love to know! Let me know of any posts that you do for this challenge!
